Introduction

Tickford was Ford Australia's performance partner since May 1991. They contributed to the Falcon XR's from the EB Falcon XR8 and the EB & EL Falcon GT's. In 1999, Tickford began selling Fords under the FTE (Ford Tickford Engineering) banner, selling performance Falcons- the T-Series, to battle Holden's HSV and rejuvinate the Falcon performance image. Tickford existed until it was taking over globally by Prodrive, with FTE/Tickford effectively turned into Ford Performance Vehicles in Australia.
